Opened in 2006 by 8 time James Beard Award Nominee, Chef James Campbell Caruso. La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Mediterranean and South American wines. Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide customers to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Cadiz in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez. Full to capacity almost every night since its opening, La Boca has been a hit with both locals and the world travelers that visit Santa Fe. La Boca has earned numerous awards both local and national, including the Santa Fe Reporter’s “Restaurant of the Year,” and the International Wine and Food Society’s “Award of Excellence.”

Incredible dining experience. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful when it came to making decisions. They have an extensive menu with combinations I would have never thought of. Trust that each dish is going to be spot on deliciousness!

Mussels with green Chile broth was great. Kale salad was equally good with dried garbanzo beans and a lemon vinaigrette. Cuban sandwich was good but bread used was more like a dinner roll and didn’t go well. Everyone was very nice but service was a bit disorganized having to ask a few times for certain things. That being said, I would definitely go back.

I had the most incredible food experience at La Boca. It was my first time to Santa Fe and I was recommended to go there by a local. La Boca is a traditional Spanish tapas restaurant. Small bites, but very filling! I was there on a trip for my birthday when I stopped into the restaurant. The food at La Boca can be described as no less than mouth watering! Truly an incredible blend of spices and flavors. And for those of you who are sensitive to texture like I am, this was like finding an oasis in the desert. Pun not intended. Their customer service was hands down the best I've ever experienced outside of Michelin Star restaurants. Pablo, who was my waiter, did everything he could to accommodate me. I honestly felt like some sort of visiting royalty! No joke! If you want an incredible dining experience in Santa Fe, La Boca is the place to be. And don't forget to try their desserts! You will walk away very full and satisfied. And perhaps a couple pounds heavier, hahaha.
